Friends of Colleen is an event in support of our friend Colleen Riley, who is battling breast cancer. Colleen is a staple in the Philadelphia restaurant scene. Due to
the constraints of repeated chemotherapy, and the complications that come along with treatment, she has found herself unable to work, and her
expenses are piling up.
Friends Of Colleen is a benefit event planned for Sunday, September 19 at the Ruba Hall 414 Green St. in Philadelphia, that will feature a buffet dinner prepaired by Andy Brown, Patty Gilson, James Wells, Michael Scavnicky, and Evan Seplow. It will also feature desserts from pastry chef Jennifer Weckerle and Fresh on 47th. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available, as well as plenty of meaty treats.
A silent auction will be held during the event that will contain prize items such as:
Philadelphia area restaurant gift certificates from Belguin Cafe, White Dog Cafe, Slainte, and more, a brand new bicycle from Fairmount Bicycles, wine and spirits,
art from local artists, Takamine Jasmine accoustic guitar and music lessons from Yanni Papadopoulos, handmade artisan crafts and giftbaskets, and so much more!
Also, to add to the excitement of the evening, there will be intermittant live performances by local Philadelphia musicians:
Plus Special Guests!
We would love your attendance to help raise money for Colleen, and for the general purpose to help raise awareness for the ever present threat of breast cancer.
Thank you for your kind support.
Your friends,
